Cannon Runs Overview

The Runs page lists the Cannon test runs and is where you start new ones. A run is one instance of processing a collection of prompts through a profile. The page shows runs that have completed and runs in progress, and it is the starting point for sending a new collection through Cannon.

Runs List

The runs list displays one row per run. Each row shows the run's status, the Collection it processed, the Profile it ran against, the Flagged count, the Creator, and the Date. The Flagged column shows the number of flagged events out of the total events in the run, such as 50 out of 96.

You can filter the list by collection using the All Collections dropdown. While a run is in progress, a run counter appears in the toolbar showing how many runs are currently running.

Starting a Run

Start a new run with the Start New Test button, the send icon in the top right of the page. This opens the Start New Test modal, which requires a collection and a profile. Once both are selected, click Cannon Test to begin. The button changes to Firing Cannon while the run starts.

After you dismiss the modal, the new run appears in the runs list as in progress, and the run counter in the toolbar reflects it. There is a notable delay between starting a run and its row appearing in the table, and a run takes at least five minutes to process. When the run finishes, its status indicator updates and it settles into the list as a completed row.

While a run is in progress, you cannot start another run that uses the same collection or the same profile, even before the in-progress run appears in the table.

Managing Runs

Completed runs can be deleted with the delete control in the toolbar.

Opening a Run's Results

Clicking a completed run row opens the Results page filtered to that run, where you can review the individual events the run produced.
